    Fenland Garage Doors required an update to their existing site that was responsive, user friendly and easily showcased the broad range of products, details and specifications customers are able to choose when purchasing a new Garage or Entrance door.

01. Sitemap

After an initial meeting and evaluation of the existing website, I pulled together a sitemap to help get a steer on the structure of the website and to see where pages would be categorised and where additional content was required.

02. Wireframes

Next up was wireframes, I created a handful of simple wireframes to map out how the pages would look. I simplified the user journey and made the products a prominent drop down from the landing page.

Space was also allowed for more content to be added to the product pages, showing off the broad range of options that FGD can offer to their customers.

 

03. Finished product

With the site structure complete, the next step was visualising the UI of the site, these were finalised with prototyping of specific interactions and finally passed on to the developers.

The updated website is clean, crisp and easy to navigate with the user being able to find out more about the products and their specifications.
